Training Camp – Mauritius

We are planning to hold a Training Camp hosted by HDKI Mauritius in January 2022. Scott Langley Sensei will be teaching for 12 hours over 10 – 13^th January, leaving plenty of time for excursions and trips. The training will be held in the HDKI Mauritius dojo (or other local venues) and hosted by Vince van der Venter Sensei. The dojo is a mere 200 metres from the sea so expect some beach training as part of the mix.

We will organise the training venue, accommodation (in local guest houses and/or self-catering, within walking distance of the dojo) and breakfast. More details on this to follow (the island is currently in lockdown and we are in negotiation with the providers). We should be able to provide doubles and triples to those that want them, and shared bedrooms for others.

It’s up to you to organise flights and other meals. Many people will be adding on holiday time at either end and if you want to stay in the same accommodation we will try our best to organise that.

We are using a local travel agent to organise the excursions. Many people are bringing their non-training partners.

Trainings spaces are limited to about 30.  You do not have to be an HDKI member to train with us, in fact we welcome people from other associations and styles.

By paying a refundable deposit of €100 now you are ensuring your place - places will be limited.  In the event of the camp not happening your deposit is fully refundable. We may need a further deposit for accommodation in the months ahead and will endeavour to make that refundable too

For each person coming we need full name and, contact email address (one per family is sufficient at this stage). Please let us know whether you want a double or triple room or are prepared to share.

It is possible that COVID19 vaccination certificates may be required in January. We will monitor everything and let you know.  The advice is not to book flights yet.
